CPR for Life in schools
CPR for Life in schools

Welcome, to the CPR for Life in schools website. The CPR for Life in schools program is a joint initative of Education Queensland and Queensland Ambulance Service to train all year 11 & 12 students in single operator adult CPR.

The website has been designed to allow teachers to have easy access to forms and templates, including the attendance certificate and order form.

We have included a Frequently Asked Questions section to allow teachers to post questions with regards to the training program, with answers being published on this site for everyone to share.

As of the 1st of August 2006 the Australian Resuscitation Council has altered the guidelines for adult CPR. These changes are reflected in the CPR for Life in Schools program which will be implemented into schools from February 2007.

Whilst the old technique of 15 compressions to 2 breaths was effective, the changes in CPR guidelines are a result of research in to more effective methods of achieving the best possible outcome for people.
