Queensland Local Ambulance Committee Advisory Council
The Queensland Local Ambulance Committee Advisory Council (QLAC) consists of 14 Local Ambulance Committee members, two members from each Queensland Ambulance Service region, who have been elected by their peers. The council meets with the QAS Commissioner and his executives at least three times per year.
QLAC has four critical roles:
- Assist the Queensland Ambulance Service to obtain community views about its standards, policy and strategies;
- Advocate to the QAS on behalf of the community;
- Ensure that equity of access to ambulance services exists across the State; and
- Build stronger partnerships between the QAS and the community to seek innovative solutions to service delivery issues.
