The Minister for Health and Ambulance Services is responsible for our services through the Director-General, Queensland Health.

Commissioner Queensland Ambulance Service
Craig Emery ASM
The Commissioner, Queensland Ambulance Service, sets our strategic direction and leads operations and performance to make sure we achieve our strategic objectives.
The Commissioner reports to the Director-General Queensland Health.
Deputy Commissioner Operations, North, Rural and Remote
Kari Arbouin
The Deputy Commissioner Operations, North, Rural and Remote oversees the day to day operations in our northern QAS regions:
- Darling Downs and South West region
- Far Northern region
- Northern region
- Central region.
Deputy Commissioner Operations, South
Dee Taylor-Dutton ASM
The Deputy Commissioner Operations, South oversees the day to day operations in our southern QAS regions:
- Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay region
- Gold Coast region
- Metro North region
- Metro South region.
Chief Operating Officer
Stephen Zsombok ASM
The Chief Operating Officer oversees our:
- State Operations Coordination Centre (SOCC)
- Clinical Hub
- Emergency Management.

Dr Stephen Rashford ASM
The Medical Director is responsible for the following areas:

- Clinical Policy and Innovation
- Pharmacy
- Infection Prevention Program
- Compliments and Complaints.
Executive Director Retrieval Services Queensland
Dr Mark Elcock PSM
Retrieval Services Queensland (RSQ) coordinates all aeromedical transport for public hospitals and health services in Queensland.
The Executive Director, Retrieval Services Queensland oversees their day to day operations and the following groups:
- Clinical and Operational Services
- Quality, Research, Education and Safety
- Governance and Performance.
