Qualified paramedics
Our minimum level of qualified paramedic is at the Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) level. To be employed as a qualified ACP with the QAS, you are required to be registered as a paramedic through the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
As part of the recruitment process, you may be required to undertake some clinical testing. As such we would recommend applicants have approximately six (6) months working experience, however this is not a mandatory condition of employment.
To be eligible for employment with QAS, you need to have the right to work in Australia. The QAS does not sponsor or provide advice regarding required Visas. Please visit the Department of Home Affairs website for information related to working in Australia.
Recruitment Update
Qualified recruitment is identified by operational requirements and therefore, the recruitment process is periodical.
We encourage you to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) and the QAS Recruitment Team can contact you directly should any employment opportunities arise.
