Patient Transport Service – About Us

The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Patient Transport Service (PTS) is available for patients who require transport to, or from medical appointments in a health care facility such as a hospital or specialist care facility such as dialysis or oncology units, and are assessed as being medically unsuitable for community, public or private transport.

Patients must be assessed by a medical practitioner as medically unsuitable for community, public or private transport before being eligible for PTS.
